Gritty Goat is proud to announce “SleepWalker.”

The latest project from yesitsfiasco and the follow-up to his 2009 Gritty Goat project “Assorted Clips.” While the themes on Assorted Clips were built largely around improvisation over samples and collage, SleepWalker features original compositions played out entirely by fiasco. SleepWalker is a showcase of skills as a multi-instrumentalist and composer.

In yesitsfiasco’s foray into electronic music; assorted clips shows a creative mind at work. The number of sonic ideas explored on assorted clips is astonishing, yet it all comes together to present a new vision of music production.

Assorted clips is a 45 minute high speed commute though a busy city floating in a far off galaxy that somehow feels surprisingly like home. So much to hear and see and feel for just a moment as it passes by in a blur.

Assorted clips is mostly instrumental, but it’s in the tracks with vocals that the personality of the album really shines. The lyrics add a layer of lighthearted transcendence. In “blubber with muppets” fiasco sings with a backup chorus of muppet-like voices: “Life’s such a joke, dreams up in smoke. Breakin’ our backs as light refracts, way above.”
